WHATSAPP: SEE THE LIST OF PHONES THAT WHATSAPP IS LONGER AVAILABLE FOR

Whatsapp Will Not Be Available On These Phones From December 31, 2018.

WhatsApp previously confirmed that it will be stopping support for several smartphones by the end of this year. The Facebook-owned company has updated its support page with the list of phones that will not work on WhatsApp from December 31, 2018. Moreover, the chat app has also released a list of smartphones that will stop receiving updates from 31st of this month. The company has decided to end support for these phones as WhatsApp is looking to add more features to the platform in the future.

The company had previously, stopped supporting to the list of devices and remaining will lose by the end of 2018. WhatsApp has also suggested the users to upgrade to new Android versions, if in case they are using old smartphones.
WhatsApp mentioned on its support page that, "we'll no longer actively develop for these operating systems, and some features might stop functioning at any time. If you currently use an older operating system, we recommend upgrading to a newer version..."



Operating systems that were previously stopped from getting updates are Android versions older than 2.3.3, Windows Phone 8.0 and older, iPhone 3GS/iOS 6, Nokia Symbian S60, BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10. The smartphone which will stop receiving support for Nokia S40 by December 31, 2018. Moreover, the WhatsApp support for Android 2.3.7 and older will be stopped by February 1, 2020. On the other hand, iOS 7 and older OS will be supported until February 1, 2020 only. WhatsApp is suggesting the users to upgrade to the new versions or at least devices running on Android 4.0 (or above), iOS 8 (or above) and Windows Phone 8.1 and above.
